Wedding PhotographyJamie and Cherie were an amazing couple to photograph! On their pre-wedding shoot they were riding 2-up on a Suzuki GSX-R motorbike over the moors near Stanhope in thick fog! Nothing fazed these two! I was sitting ( rolling around) in the boot of a Range Rover with the back window open trying to lock focus on them in the fog- very challenging. We got some amazing images on that today ( I will add them later)
The Wedding by comparison was much more laid back and took place at The Otterburn Castle Hotel in Northumberland.

The weather was very changeable and of course decided to rain just as the ceremony was over! There are places in the hotel for wedding photographs on such an occasion but as we had umbrellas and guitars we all agreed that we preferred to shoot their wedding photographs outdoors if possible. It’s a fabulous location with a lovely interior and beautiful gardens. This was the first time I had photographed a wedding here and I found the staff to be very willing to help. The Bride’s room was beautiful, I just wish we had more time to take photographs, all in all I think we got less than 10 minutes as the Registrar came in with 15 mins to go and we had only just managed to get in!
Jamie and Cherie were such a lovely couple to work with and the day was a relaxed, fun day from start to finish, despite the rain!
Their Wedding Album is truly beautiful and contains an impressive 68 pages in total. They opted for Graphistudio’s Young Book, if you haven’t seen one they are really worth looking at. There is a photo of the outside of their album in this gallery. If you would like to see a real copy of this we have one in our studio at Harvey Close in Washington, feel free to come along and have a look, our coffee machine is always on!
